Players must choose their location, buy land, construct their facilities, maintain a working schedule, and deal with various disasters using a host of menu-driven and picture-based toolsets. In this title, gamers are charged with the monstrous responsibility of building a fully functional airport, and then running that airport successfully to attain some announced goal. Obviously meant to target the sim fans of the world who rightfully laid down weeks of their lives to the awesome Railroad and Roller Coaster Tycoon games, this one starts running on fumes shortly after take-off. throughout its various menus and the instruction manual. The packaging dubs this effort Airport Tycoon, though apparently that's just a fancy name they came up with at the last minute, since the game refers to itself as both Air Mogul and Airport Inc. ![]() As a result of some sort of clerical error at a British coaster manufacturing plant, the disc which houses the programming code for this airport simulation was actually placed in a box and released for general sale here in the United States.
